Long, long ago, two countries were established in the vast grassland: Catopia and Dogsia. Citizens of the two countries, the prudent cats and the passionate dogs, are naturally carnivorous, so they cannot live by eating grass. Gazelles widely inhabited in the grassland as well, but neither the cats nor the dogs have enough strength and skill to kill them for food. Luckily, a diligent countrywoman resided in the border between Catopia and Dogsia, raising rabbits in her big farm. The woman loved cats and dogs, so she sent some rabbits periodically to the two countries as food supply. Cats and dogs lived happily and peacefully. Gradually, the dogs got unsatisfied with uncontrollable rabbit supply. The congress of Dogsia decided to negotiate with the woman. The officials, surrounded by army, marched to the farm. "Give us your rabbits. We will raise those rabbits ourselves." "Sorry but I cannot give them to you. You lack the knowledge and tech to raise rabbits. If you need more rabbits for food, I can..." "She despise us!" The officials of Dogsia were pissed. Dogs army pushed in and bit the woman. "No, you cannot..." The woman cried, helplessly. The dogs grabbed all rabbits, including those the woman originally raised for Catopia. Soon the poor woman was infected by rabies virus, and died. The officials of Catopia sadly buried the woman, and went to Dogsia asking for some rabbits. Without a doubt, dogs rejected. The dogs raised rabbits in Dogsia without management. As the consequence of free ranch, the population of rabbits grew extremely fast in Dogsia, making dogs wild with joy. However, the grass were quickly consumed up, thus all gazelles migrated to Catopia. Without grass, numerous rabbits in Dogsia died and their corpse rot. What is the end of the story? No grass any more, Dogsia turned out to be a wasteland. All rabbits died, so dogs had to consume corpse, as well as tiny creatures such as rats. Cats suffered food shortage and had to train themselves to prey on gazelles. It was the hardest time to Catopia, but the cats finally made it. Besides, the population of gazelles in Catopia was carefully kept under control by cats, in order to protect the grassland landscape. Year after year, dogs evolved in to greedy, ugly hyenas, while cats evolved into agile, beautiful leopards. End
