Rain can have a serious effect on your character, if not taken seriously. When your character stays out in the rain, he/she will get wet. At this point, there is no way to avoid getting wet when you are outside and it is raining. Your speed then decreases the more wet you get. Once you become soaking, you have the chance of becoming sick and it is increased when becoming drenched. However, your character will get dryer when he stays inside again. Drying yourself with a Dish Towel or a Bath Towel will instantly dry your character.

Rain is one of the weather conditions in Muldraugh. When a survivor stays outdoors while it is raining, the survivor will eventually get wet. Rain always comes with clouds and therefore, the vision of the survivor is slightly hindered. Rain generates a small amount of noise that distracts the zombies.
The survivor can dry themselves off using a dish towel or bath towel.
Rain also helps to water plants for farming and will slowly take out a campfire, this can be countered by fueling well.
Additionally, rain offers a reliable source of drinkable water after city's water work has shut down, as it can be collected by a Rain Collector Barrel.
