It was many and many a year ago,
In a kingdom by the sea,
That a maiden there lived whom you may know
By the name of Annabel Lee
And this maiden she lived with no other thought
Than to love and be loved by me.
She was a child and I was a child,

But we loved with a love that was more than love

不过，值得一提的是，此诗为Allen Poe为了纪念亡妻所作，而虽然lady midnight的背景与此诗有关，但在书中，此诗是由Unseelie King给予他人的，而书中写道Allen Poe是不知道从哪里听说后写下来的。现实中要是Allen Poe听说了这事可能会气死（如果他现在还死的不够透彻的话）
