徽派建筑已有上千年历史,徽派建筑的概念也有上千年历史,徽派建筑一直受到全世界的重视。美国大学联盟中国艺术史等专业明确承认徽派建筑的地位,美国哈佛大学收录大量徽州文书,耶鲁大学等高校承认徽派建筑在中国艺术史上的地位。

LILLIAN TSENG:Professor Tseng received her Ph.D. from Harvard in 2001, and joined the Yale faculty in 2003. She has published a number of articles concerned with diverse cultural issues in Chinese art, such as history and memory, visual replication and political persuasion, pictorial representation and historical writing, and the interchangeability of the self and the other. Her research has been acknowledged and supported by prestigious fellowships from the Getty Foundation and the Chiang Ching-kuo Foundation. Having completed a book entitled Picturing Heaven in Early China, she is currently at work a new project on antiquarianism and cultural production in 18th-century China. At Yale, Professor Tseng is developing the Chinese art curriculum. The graduate seminars she has given include “Materiality of Death in Chinese Art,” “History, Memory, and Media in Chinese Art,” “Barbarians, Frontiers, and Otherness in Chinese Art.” For undergraduate students, she regularly offers lectures on “Art and Archaeology in China” and “Chinese Art and the Modern World,” and leads seminars on “Mapping the Art of Chu China” and “Art and Architecture of the Forbidden City.”
