Dominic Thiem believes Novak Djokovic will return to the top of tennis and that he saw signs of the Serb being back to his best during their recent meeting in Monte-Carlo. Though the Austrian came out on top 6-7 6-2 6-3 in their third-round match in Monaco, he revealed that he saw the ‘fire’ in the eyes of the 12-time Grand Slam champion once he broke Thiem back in the first set. ‘I think that you saw it especially in the match against me, that somehow the fire in his eyes and in his body is kind of back. ‘The way he was acting when he broke me back in the first set was when I think everybody got reminded of his best times and how he was acting and how his presence was on court. ‘I think if he can keep that up he will be back on the very top.’
