形容词是名词的修饰成分，与其所修饰的名词保持性、数一致。
1．形容词的性：有些形容词修饰阳性名词时以o结尾，修饰阴性名词时以a结尾。
un árbol alto （一棵高大的树） una casa bonita （一所漂亮的房子）
修饰阳性名词时以e结尾的形容词，修饰阴性名词时不发生变化。
El camión es grande. 那辆卡车很大。
La fábrica es grande. 那家工厂很大。
2．形容词的数：
形容词复数的构成与名词一样
* 以元音结尾时加s。
el edificio alto （高大的楼房） --- los edificios altos
la casa baja （低矮的房子）--- las casas bajas
la fábrica grande （大工厂）--- las fábricas grandes
* 以辅音结尾的形容词，变复数时加es。
el alumno joven （年轻的学生）--- los alumnos jóvenes
为了保持原来的重读音节，joven这个单词变复数时，需要加上重音符号。
3．形容词的位置
形容词一般放在其所修饰的名词的后面。
少数名词例外，如：bueno 好，malo 坏（注意在阳性单数名词前的词尾变化）
un buen amigo,
有些形容词放在名词前和名词后，其含义是不同的。
cierta noticia (某个消息) — noticia cierta (确实的消息)
pobre hombre （不幸的人）— hombre pobre (穷人)
