Nelly Furtado says she felt "fireworks" when she finished recording her forthcoming album. The singer's fifth studio release The Spirit Indestructible is due for release in June, following her 2009 Spanish record Mi Plan. It her first English language album since 2006's multi-platinum Loose. Nelly admits it took a long time to produce the tunes. "Good Lord it took a while. I put out a Spanish album in 2009 and basically right after that I starting recording this new album," she told BBC Radio 1. "I was in a different state of mind at the beginning of the album and at the end of it, it was like fireworks went off and it was a really great energy because I just knew it was all coming together. It's the best feeling in the world."
