如果个体间没有那么多不同的话，医学或许也能成为一门科学而不是艺术。

感觉意思费解，难道英文的表达是错误的或者是该去掉某个否定词。

如果不是因为有很高的变异度在个体之中，医学可能也会是一门科学，而不是行业了。(仅供参考，还是不大清楚这里面的逻辑，个体变异度高，怎么就不能作为一门科学了呢？)

我刚百度了下，希腊人将medicine解释为，the art of healing。这句可能要说明为何medicine不称为，the science of healing？难道是变异度高，不确定性大，研究时耗资多，不得不将其商业化，而非学术

医学之所以为科学，是因为个体差异的存在，如果是统一的没有差别的，如看起来齐刷刷等高的麦子，那是艺术，似乎是这个意思。

同样的疾病，因病人不同，所存在的差异变数不同，在治疗保健上也应该有些不同。
比如说两个同龄同样得肺炎的男人，一个抽烟，一个不抽。医生给两人开同种同量的抗生素，这是科学。但医生劝说并帮助抽烟者戒烟，这是一种艺术。
所以医疗是一种活的芸术而非死的科学知识与数据。

You did not get my point or maybe I didn't explain it well.
For example, if a doctor only looks at the lab results and does not consider many variables of individual patient and thinks outside of the "box", the "scientific" numbers from the lab tests is just science and is "dead" knowledge.
If a doctor considers the patient's variables, along with the lab results, and "applies" the scientific knowledge he/she has acquired and accumulated over the years, then the "scientific" knowledge becomes "alive". This is art of healing.
Same to many inventions.

是。真正的医学是一种艺术（境界），它包含了科学、医生与病人之间的互动、医生对病人生活的了解等等多方面的因素，而不是纯科学。一个只注重科学知识数据的医生很难成为好医生。
