瑞秋（派珀•佩拉博 Piper Perabo 饰）终于要嫁给了青梅竹马的男友海克（马修•古迪 Matthew Goode 饰）了，海克英俊温柔体贴忠厚，深深爱着瑞秋，瑞秋以为自己也同样深深爱着海克。婚礼上，就在通往神圣婚姻的红地毯上，瑞秋不经意地向旁边一瞥时，她突然像被闪电击中一样，而她，就是花店老板露丝（琳娜•海蒂 Lena Headey 饰），负责婚礼所有的鲜花。就这样，她们在婚礼上结识，并成为了朋友。虽然瑞秋和露丝彼此爱慕，但是她已经结婚了，而且海克是那么的好，最终瑞秋选择了放弃，露丝也选择了离开。瑞秋的变化被海克看到了眼里，他想给瑞秋幸福，于是，他选择了离开。
