Rainbow wallpaper tutorial in Ph otoshop. In this tutorial, you will learn to create rainbow wall paper in Photoshop. we are creating an abstract using two brushes that we have already created in previous tutorials. This tutorial makes uses of primarily the gradient tool and a set of brushes. The result of this combo is one that will surprise you.

Note: Before we begin, you should that in this tutorial I have made use of two brushes. The tutorials for those custom brushes are already available on the website. Refer to them before you begin.

1- In Photoshop CS5, open a new document with the following dimensions:
Height 340px
Width 600px.
2- Fill (CTRL+I) it with Black color.

3- Set the Foreground and Background color to Black and White, respectively.
4- Select Gradient tool and modify its settings as shown in the image below:
5- Now drag a straight line from bottom to up:

This is what you should get by now:

6- Go to: Filter > Distort > Wave.
Modify its settings as shown:

7- Press and hold ALT and click on Add Vector Mask.
8- Set the Foreground and Background color to white and black, respectively.
9- Select Gradient tool and modify its settings as shown in the image below:
10- Create a Radial Gradient from the top of the image to the bottom.

11- Create a new layer.
12- Fill this layer with 50% Gray color. Rename the layer to ‘Rainbow’.

13- Double click the layer Rainbow to make the following changes:

14- Change the final text layer’s Blend mode from Normal to Overlay.

    15- For this layer, set the Foreground and Background color to White and Blackrespectively.
    16- Select the Brush Tool and select Load Brushes from the Brush settings.
    17- Now the select the brush named Star and modify its settings in the Brush Panel as shown below:




    18- Your brush is now ready to use. Create a new layer and apply it to your image to create the stars effect as shown in the image below:
    19- Change the layer opacity of the current layer to 40%.

    20- Create another new layer.
    21- Apply the brush with the same brush setting but this time keep the layer opacity of the current layer at 100%.
    22- Using your Eraser tool, cut out the unwanted stars from both the layers so that your image looks like the one below:
    23- Create another layer.
    24- Next, load the Bubble brush that we have already created. The brush settings for this brush are going to be the same as that for the last brush we used.

    25- Apply it to your image to create the stars effect as shown in the image below:
    26- Change the layer opacity of the current layer to 40%.

    27- Now, much like before, create another new layer.
    28- Apply the brush with the same brush setting but this time keep the layer opacity of the current layer at 100%.
    29- Using your Eraser tool, cut out the unwanted stars from both the layers so that your image looks like the one below:
