The sky was blackas if someone has poured ink on it. The wind was blowing hard and lightingsshone occasionally. And then suddenly, everything grew quiet. However, a silverlight and a green light shone brightly at shy, as if they were the only thingsin the world. Then the light grew smaller and smaller and finally, they becametwo small luminous spots. The spots started to fall. They flew lower and lower andfinally, they dropped at near Forest Dean, south England.
I woke up, stillhalf sleeping. How many times I have been having this same dream over and overagain? I’d been having this dream since I’ve born. Every time it was absolutelythe same: the same mysterious and scary. I thought about it for a moment andjumped out of the bed and ran towards Coin’s bedroom. Coin was sitting on thebed. It was obviously that he has already woke up, because he was sitting onthe bed, with his cheek in his hands and both elbow on his knees.
‘The same dreamagain?’ He asked before I could say anything.
‘Yeah,’ I nodded,’it is always the same.’
‘So do I’ He saidgrimly.
Then there was silence,until it was broken by me:’ But have you discovered why it was always that dream?’ He promised it the lasttime we had the dream.
He shacked hishead:’ Well, not yet.’
‘But there must besome reason! Nothing happens gratuitously!’
‘Go to sleep now.’He said.
‘But…’

The next morning, I woke up quite early. The sun has not rise yet, so I sneaked outside and raced for the town library. Since Coin didn’t want to tell the truth, I’ll discover it myself. I’ve heard that there’s a chamber which was separatelyforbiddened to nearly all children. I’ve seen it only opened once before. There must be something helpful there.
Oh, I think I can introduce myself to you on my way to the library.My name is BrannaBlack. I lived beside Forest dean in south England, until, well, never mind. I live with my brother since I could remember. And I never meet my parents. Right, as I know,I’m a orphan. Thought my brother never tried to admit that. He always tell me our parents didn’t die, they just live in somewhere and refuse to tell me anymore. Butdon’t think I’d believe it. I wasn’t born yesterday!
Coin was my brother. He’s two years older than me. Though we had the same parents, he looked a lot different from me. My hair was brown like the tree trunks in Forest Dean and turns into liquid-like gold in the sunshine, while his was pure black and glows silver light under the moonlight. Nobody believes that we are relatives.And I wandered of it as well. But we are, that’s the truth.
·I soon got to the library gate. Peering inside, great, it was too early for anyone to go to the library now. I sneaked inside, without realizing I’ve left the door opened behind me. I ran quietly to the secret chamber, wondering how I could open the door. But asI got there, I surprisedly found that the chamber’s door was opened! Without thinking, I quickly steped inside and closed the door behind me.
·To my surprise, the chamber wasn’t dark at all. There was a stone tale in the middle of the room and there was a small rock on it. It seemed like the rock was gently glowing warm lights that lit up the whole room. There was no wall of the room; instead, there were bookshelves in every corner. Being shocked, I slowly stepped to a bookshelf-wall, trying to find something I need.
·Suddenly, the door burst open. And there he was. Standing in the twilight, was a manI’ve never seen in this town before. For a long time, we just stared at each other, speechless, and silence. Suddenly, when I was still wondering what to do, the man kneeled and said: ’You are not supposed to be here, young lord. He knows where you are now and was coming after you.’
·‘But who are you?’ I interrupted,’ And who is he ? What are…’
·‘No time to explain, young lord. You have to go with me!’He said.
·‘But where are we going?And I have to tell Coin if I need to go somewhere!’
·‘No need telling me this time. Cause I’m going.’ Coin’s voice came from outside firmly’Go with him, now! We can explain later.’
·‘But…’ I could just say a word before the man caught my hand. And all of a sudden, with a loud crack, we’ve gone.
When I woke up, it was late afternoon. Coin set next to me on the bed. I noticed that there was a new scar on his forearm which was still bleeding. Realizing I’ve woke up, he turned to me;’ I know there must be something you don’t understand. Come with me.’ Then, he walked out.
When I walked out of the room after him, I found that I’m in a place which was completely different from Emgland. Wooden doors are covered with beautiful the elaborate decoration, and so did the walls and the roof. I followed coin into a larger room which was obviously to be a small library which looks just like the chamber.
‘Branna, have you discovered that you were different from the others?’ he just call my name when it was very serious.
‘well, umm…yeah.’ It was not difficult to find the difference between me and others. For example,when we visited a phytology museum, I accidently steped on a sample of a Ginger Lily, it immediately began to make crack noise and began to grow until it was as tall as the roof. And…and so on. Then I realized something: every time Icaused troubles at school or somewhere else, everyone laughed at me instead of Coin. He always looks firmly and thoughtful.
He then said:’ Yes, we are sure to be difference with other human. You’ve noticed I never tell you who our parents were? I dared not to tell you at that tames. But now it’s different. You have to know it now. You see, our dad was just a mortal and was brought away by the one . And our mum, the Elf of wood and time, was Mercedes.’
