Running Experioncommands/utilities
To use Experion commandsand utilities, you need to log on to the server using an account that belongsto the Product Administrators group.
Attention
Donot use the MORE command with Experion commands and utilities, as this maycause the server to wait for a response, thus halting other important serveroperations.
Tip
Toredirect the output of command and utility information to a file, you can usethe > parameter to direct the command output to a text file. For example: trace > trace.txt.
To run an Experion command
1. ChooseStart > All Programs > Honeywell Experion PKS > Server > Diagnostic Tools > Experion Command Prompt to open the Experion CommandPrompt window.
2. Typethe command and press ENTER.
To run an Experion utility
Choose Start > All Programs > Honeywell Experion PKS > Server > Diagnostic Tools and then select the relevant tool.

Administration commands
The following commands and utilities can be used foradministrative tasks.
Attention

Starting and stopping anExperion server
You can stop and start anExperion server using the Experion PKS Serverdialog box.
To stop the Experion server
1. ChooseStart > All Programs > Honeywell Experion PKS > Server > Start-Stop Experion Server.
The ExperionPKS Server dialog box appears.
Simple mode Full mode
2. Ifthe Experion PKS Server dialog box appears insimple mode, click the icon to the left of the title bar, and choose Advanced > Full.
3. Thereare three stop modes available in Full mode; Database Unloaded, Database &Daemons, and Database Only.
Click the stop modespecified in the task or step that led you to this task.
4. Ifprompted, click Yes to confirm the action.
Wait for the server tochange its state. It may take several minutes for the Experion server to stop.
To start the Experion server
1. ChooseStart > All Programs > Honeywell Experion PKS > Server > Start-Stop Experion Server.
The ExperionPKS Server dialog box appears.
2. Ifthe Experion Server dialog box appears in simplemode, click the icon to the left of the title bar, and choose Advanced > Full.
3. Tostart the Experion server, click System Running.
4. Ifprompted, click Yes to confirm the action.
Wait for the server to change its state. It may take several minutes forthe Experion server to start.

dspclrDescription
dspclrremoves displays from the Display Summary and clears specified displays.
Syntaxdspclr [first_display] [last_display] [-y]
Part Description
first_display The number of the first display that is removed.
last_display The number of the last display that is removed.
-y Removes the displays without requesting confirmation.
Notes
· dspclronly applies to numbered displays.
Example
Thisexample clears displays numbered between 400 and 450 without confirmation.
dspclr 400 450 -y
