I graduated from a senion high school which is locared in a small town nearly surrounded by a river this year. So I just know a litttle part of the English litrature.
The main problem puzzling me is that I just can't get a conmmand of the contents said by native English spokers now. So it results that I must see the English-Chinese translations at the bottom of the screen when I watch a English movie. and untill now I seldom get a progress in this aspect.
唉╯▂╰单词用的还是这么浅显,高中的语法都没怎么用。。。

      乡下学英文很累,学好这语言其实是贵族的买卖。你与他们硬拼要求更多意志。day day up

I'm currently studying overseas in Australia. I know sometimes it is really tough for a person who wants to learn spoken English while there's no English speaking environment, but to be honest, English is just a language, there's no such rules or standards to regulate the way how you speak, there're thousands of ways to speak. So just learn or speak English with your own methods, no one is gonna laugh at you mate!

          不过,你首次发帖,口气很大。英语分三教九流,差别等级很多。

What you've asked for, which is to be able to understand native speakers in a movie/show, is in fact a very challenging task even for people majoring in English. For starters you will need a copious vocabulary size (10,000 at least). This is probably the most important thing there is to be an efficient English speaker. I would recommend to start with TOEFL vocabulary, and when you're comfortable with these words, move on to GRE. What you can do to completely familiar with these words is repetition. Then of course it wouldn't hurt to do lots of listening exercises, preferably as much as you can.

                      刚才有一个外国女孩向我问路,而我也只能用我那可怜的几个词汇告诉她,她好像也没听明白,当时只恨自己水平太low了,真想学说一口流利的英语,遗憾。
