The relationship between Mars and Earth started out ok, Earth let Mars go. But as they expanded over the Solar System, who gets what caused a lot of friction. It was getting to a boiling point. The war started over land rights on Dione, one of Saturn's moons. Basically, Earth forces forcibly removed Martian settlers because Earth "claimed" it first. Many Martians died and some die hard Martian nationalists with the backing of some part of its government strapped a few boosters onto a few asteroids and caused significant damage on Earth as retaliation. Earth ships orbiting Mars were ordered to nuke the 2 Martian orbital stations. Over the next 70 some days, Earth and Martian warships moved into position to engage each other. The war officially ended with a stalemate, but in reality Earth came out victorious, they just didn't have the resources to take on Mars on the ground.
反正通过斗争地球和火星之间的关系还算可以不算僵，地球也让火星独立了。但是，当他们在宇宙扩张时，天知道会造成什么样的摩擦？这种关系将到达一个沸点。说回80天战争，战争开始于Dione的土地权利，萨图恩的一个卫星。地球部队强行拆除火星定居者，因为地球声称首先“占有”这个地方。许多人死亡，一些顽固的火星的民族主义者与火星政府的部分支持者，在几个小星星上绑几个助推器要撞向地球在地球引起重大损失作为报复。地球飞船于是就奉命来解决这事，出发向着核2火星轨道站。在接下来的70天里，地球和火星战舰进入了彼此交战。战争以僵局正式结束，但实际上地球取得了胜利，他们只是没有足够的资源在火星地面。

我来脑洞一下。。。探险家在玛利亚近地轨道坠毁应该就是地球总部干的好事，故事情节里，地球人发射的探测器早就发现了玛利亚星跟上面的种族和战争，他们的目的就是来趁战乱占领玛利亚的，谁知道半路杀出个病毒制造者，他们好像也是来殖民玛利亚的。。。然后。。你们自行脑补吧😄。。
