As the well-known proverb goes, "Knowledge makes us humble, and ignorance makes us proud." This prover reveals that people with much knowledge tend to be humbler, while those who are ignorance tend to be more arrogant. I can't agree with this proverb more.
Indeed, the phenomenon as described in the proverb is fairly commom in our daily life. How does this phenomenon appear? On the one hand, people with much knowledge tend to keep learning throughout their life. They try their best to make progress and never give up absorbing new ideas. Just as the old saying goes, " One is never too old to learn." On the other hand, the ignorant are accustomed to being self-righteous and arrogant. Their pride clouds their visions, which makes them remain stagnant. They think they know everything and speak loudly among people everywhere. But if we make a detailed inquiry, we may find that they know nothing at all.
All in all, we should keep learning all the time. Never be proud, or we will come to a satndstill one day.

Relationship Between One's Major and Future Job
It's striking fact that there isn't a necessary relationship between one's major and future job. According to a recent survey conducted by CCTV, a high proportion of 56.6 percent of people acknowlwdge that they think a little about their major when choosing a job.
To account for this phenomenon, people have come up with various reasons. In the first place, due to the rapid development of technology, knowledge from textbooks ofen lags behind the real need, so many employers pay more attention to the job candidates' practical abilities than their professional knowledge. Additionary, when stepping into society, they may find out that they are not interested in what they have learned and therefore switch to a job that doesn't relate much to their major.
As far as I'm concerned, one should adapt himself to the working enviroment by adjusting his own knowledge and information system. The pursuit of knowledge and ability should never be ceased.

      Online Payment
With the rapid growth of online shopping, online payment has become an irresistible trend in modern society. It is beyond all doubt that online payment does bring great benefits to people. One of its most obvious advantages is the convenience it brings. Compared with traditional payment methods limited by time and space, online payment makes it posssible for consumers to complete the purchasing behavior anytime and anywhere.
As online payment is in vogue, how to ensure payment security is put into the spotlight. To begin with, we should give priority to choosing secure and credible websites and reading the privacy and security policies before making any purchase. In addition, when we are paying, it is advisable to use the third-party payment platform to make sure that payment information is not infringed. Last but not least, it is of great urgency that relevant laws should be formulated to ensure that the payer is not deceived.
In conclusion, the maturity of e-commerce calls for the reinforcement in the security of online payment. Only in a secure payment enviroment can we enjoy the pleasure and convenience can we enjoy the pleasure and convenience of online payment.

        On Respect
As human beings, we all crave the respect from others; it's coded into our DNA. And as the way things are, if you show you respect for others, you are more likely to gain their respect in return. The saying "Respect others, and you will be respected." indicates the great significance of respecting others in our daily life.
First and foremost, respecting others gives them confidence and encouragement, especially for those who appear less successful than you. Your respect can help them become upbeat and active, and can improve their confidence. In addtion, offering words of respect can promote our social intercourse to some extent. Just as the remark above shows, if your respect proves to be effective, people will show their respect to you, too, which will benefit your later relationship. Last but not least, respecting others is a symbol of high caliber, showing one's good upbringing and parenting.
Taking what has been discussed into consideration, it's indisputable that a good many of people are fond of being respected. It is so influential and helpfull for us to show our respect for others. Once we respect others, we will find that it's much easier to earn the respect from others.

            Break Mute English
For a long time, English learners in China have been well-known for their "Mute English", which, as it literally shows, means some English learner can read and write English but can speak it with others.
The reason why a large majority of Chinese students learn Mute English can be concluded into three points. The first is the exam-oriented teaching and learning system which lays much emphasis on reading, writing and listening abilities, but ignores speaking abilities since it is not tasted in most cases. The second is the lack of target language environment. As we are learning English in China, seldom can we find chances to speak English in authentic social situations. Last but not least, being afraid of losing face leads to students' silence both in and after class.
Therefore, to break Mute English, joint efforts from relative authoritiea, teacheers and students are required. As individuals, the most important is to do our own part, that is, to speak English bravely.
