We don't intend to make Neos a public company. As it would be a very cool experience and an achievement of a lifetime for me as the founding CEO I think the downsides for Neos and its community would outweigh the benefits by far. Not only being required to maximize profits for shareholders but also the formation of groups shorting Neos and having monetary interests in downward stock movements, bad publicity would shape Neos into something me and Frooxius don't want it to become. Becoming just another corpo seems uncool and boring.
The way we want to go is instead increasingly more in the open-source direction,turning Neos as a company into more of a supportive role than ownership role and putting the spotlight and some functionality that otherwise would go to stock to NCR instead.
