Commentator: Steffi Graf prefers naturalness, folderol is not her thing. Even on Christmas. During a photoshooting in Hamburg, she tells us about her ideas for a simple, traditional way to celebrate Christmas.
STEFFI: Of course we will celebrate Christmas at our house within the big familiy circle, that's no question. Because we have already gathered most of our family members around us in Las Vegas, there are only a few relatives who have to travel. But we are always glad to see all of them together.
Commentator: The traditions of her home-country are important to her.
STEFFI: The thing is that we begin to write our wish lists in early December, so that there is still some time left for thinking of the right gifts. Furthermore the traditional cookies are an absolute must-do, the recipes are German.
Commentator: For Graf-Agassi it is a festival of love and recreation.
STEFFI: Yes, also for us the Christmas season is a time to relax a bit. In the past years we first celebrated within the family circle, with many people. After that, a few days later, we went on winter holidays, skiing and snowboarding. And our plans for this year are the same again.
Commentator: For sure there will be no lack of snow during Steffi's holidays. Thus Christmas will be for her as she wishes it to be: just beautiful.
