Subsequently, the handler started giving M trainings with some basic rules. M was not to commit adultery, and, while working for S, not to have any out-of-wedlock relationship with a woman, regardless of ethnic background. And M was not to tell anyone about his double-agent story again.

People in S were very kind to M and clearly cared about him. Each time when M met with his handler, he learned more about life, justice and security. It seemed that the enemy was trying its best to make M wiser and stronger, to build him up and not to tear him down. M questioned himself about his plan to kill the enemy and realized that he no longer wanted to carry it out.

At that time, violent attacks in enemy territories were rampant and, tit for tat, were met with deadly force. The cemetery near M's home was gorged with the deceased.
The enemy agency S had one goal: Stop the killing before it starts.

Sometimes later, to M’s delight, the handler told him that agency S would release M’s father. The handler would like M to be close to his father and find out what was going on inside his father's organization H.

Just as M was wondering whether he would ever receive an assignment, one day his handler told him that it was time for M to get started.

Handing M an envelope filled with money, the handler gave M his first assignment - go to college and earn a bachelor degree. The money was to pay for M's schooling and expenses. And M could always let the handler know if he needed more.

M was flabbergasted. Howbeit, the enemy regarded M's education as a good investment because, for the sake of national security, it would not be a prudent strategy to work with someone who was uneducated and unwise.
This time M was motivated to do well in school and he did. He only had his enemy to thank for.

Each time they met, his handlers would remind M to let them know about his any need. They also told him that he could freely perform his religious rites without fear. They were always very conscientious and did their best to avoid doing anything which would be deemed offensive to him. The food and drink they offered M did not violate his religious laws. They treated M with respect. Whenever they met, another piece of cornerstone in M’s belief and worldview was crumbling down.

M's culture and the religion indoctrinated their youngsters with genocidal hatred of G’s people. In M’s eyes, nonetheless, his handler was like his father than any of his own people that he had ever met. M's handler did not believe in the god of M's father, yet he respected M regardless.
M started to wonder who his real enemy was.

M asked people in S whether or not they knew about the torture inside the prison. They told him that they knew. In fact, they knew every move, every word said and everything happened in the prison because they recorded everything. They also knew about the messages stuffed inside the "balls", and hole in the fence, etc. When M asked why they didn’t stop the torture, they replied that they couldn't change the mentality of M’s people. They could not force the prisoners to love one another and stop torturing their own. They also told him that one's worst enemy, the enemy which would cause the most damage, was often from within, not without.

The world that M had known all his life up to this point was collapsing, revealing a whole different world - a world that he had never learned, yet started to see, and tried to understand. Every time when he met with people from S, he learned something new about life and others. People in S did not teach him this new worldview through torture and brainwashing; they taught him through reasons and logics. This new worldview was more real than anything that M had learned from his people.
M's father never taught him this, and M suspected that his father did not know about this different worldview himself.

Early in M's "career" with S, an event happened which casted a profound impact on M's life. Walking past one of the ancient gates in the city of J one day around year 2000, M encountered a man who invited M to attend a Bible study. Feeling bored at the time and thinking that it might be interesting to hear what this "infidel" had to say, since he was already working for and learning from the other "infidel", M went and was given a book of NT as a gift. It was in M's culture to honor and respect gifts received. M opened the book and started to read from the beginning.
